Visa Processing Time

It takes about 15 days to process the visitor visa, provided all the documents are filed properly during the application procedure. It is recommended to file for the visa at least a month before the date of travel. For the dependent, a fund to cover up 9 months (£6,120) of stay should be reserved. Bank account statements can be used as proof of funds.

One can apply for a Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) visa to stay in the United Kingdom for upto 2 years if the applicant is aged between 18 to 30. In the case of a tourist visa, the applicant has to limit the travel to 6 months.
